Rabi’ al-Akhir, (aka Rabiʽ al-Thani) 1447 to Jumada al-Awwal 1447 October 2025

Bismillah

(O Prophet), call to the way of your Lord with wisdom and goodly exhortation, and reason with them in the best manner possible. Surely your Lord knows best who has strayed away from His path, and He also knows well those who are guided to the Right Way.” (Surah An-Nahl : 125)

This month, we are celebrating Islamic Heritage Month, building consistent worship, and serving our neighbours with sincere action.

Islamic Heritage Month in Canada

Goal: at least one school observes the month in each chapter.

Quick activations this Month

Host a mini exhibit at a school or library. For example: Muslim scientists, calligraphy, architecture.

Run a 30 minute children’s story circle. For example: Fatima al-Fihri, Ibn al-Haytham, Maryam in the Qur’an.

Organize a mosque or campus open house with a tour and tea.

Worship Planner for the rest of October 2025

“Indeed, in the Messenger of Allah you have an excellent example for whoever has

hope in Allah and the Last Day, and remembers Allah often.” (Surah Al-Ahzab:

21)

There is no worship fixed only for these two months. Focus on steady deeds.

Jumuah: “Believers, when the call for Prayer is made on Friday, hasten to the remembrance of Allah and give up all trading. That is better for you, if you only knew.” (Surah Al-Jumu’ah 62:9)

Rest of Jumuah in October: 17, 24, 31

Fasting on Mondays and Thursdays:

Abu Qatadah al-Ansari narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and

blessings of Allah be upon him) was asked about fasting on Mondays. He said: “On that day I was born, and on it the Revelation came to me.” (Muslim: 1162) ‘Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was keen to fast on Mondays and

Thursdays. (Al-Tirmidhi, 745; Al-Nasai, 2361; Ibn Majah, 1739)

Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger

of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Deeds are shown (to Allah) on Mondays and Thursdays, and I like my deeds to be shown when I am fasting.” (Al-Tirmidhi, 747)

Rest of Mondays in October: 20, 27

Rest of Thursdays in October: 23, 30

Consistent deeds:

Alqama Reported: I asked 'A'isha, the mother of the believers, saying O mother of the believers, how did the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) act? Did he choose a particular act for a particular day? She said: No. He act was continuous, and who amongst you is capable of doing what the Messenger

of Allah (ﷺ) did?

(Muslim: 783), also narrated in Bukhari: 6465

Daily Qur’an and Salah: “Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “If you ˹sincerely˺ love Allah, then follow me; Allah will love you and forgive your sins. For Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.” (Surah Al-Imran: 31)

Dua to keep: Rabbana atina fid-dunya hasanah wa fil-akhirati hasanah wa qina

‘adhab an-nar Our Lord! Grant us the good of this world and the Hereafter and protect us from the torment of the Fire. (Surah Al Baqarah: 201)
