Alhamdulillah, the Muslim Circle of Canada Calgary Chapter successfully organised its Summer Picnic and Qur’an Competition Celebration at Bowness Park on 4 July 2026.

The gathering brought together approximately 100 participants, including children, youth, parents, volunteers, and community members. Families enjoyed the outdoors, reconnected with one another, and strengthened local community bonds.

A central feature was the Kids’ Qur’an Prize-Giving Ceremony, which recognised the children’s effort, achievement, and commitment to learning the Qur’an. Trophies, medals, prizes, and gifts were presented across different age groups.

The picnic also included family-friendly games, recreational activities, community meals, and opportunities for children and adults to socialise and enjoy the day together.

MCC Calgary Chapter extends its sincere appreciation to the participating families, competition organisers, volunteers, parents, and everyone who contributed to the programme.

May Allah (SWT) accept everyone’s efforts, increase our children in love and understanding of the Qur’an, and continue to strengthen unity and cooperation within the community.
