Rhyme: Islamic Manner's of Sleeping
When evening comes, stay home and play,
Remember Allah at the close of day.
Read Surah Al-Mulk every night,
Pray 'Isha first—then sleep just right.
Don't stay up when it's very late,
Go to bed without a wait.
Make wudu, fresh and clean,
The nicest bedtime ever seen.
Close the doors and cover food,
Turn off lights as bedtime's good.
Keep some water by your bed,
A comb and miswak, it is said.
Shoes and clothes all neat and near,
Ready for the morning cheer.
Dust your bed one, two, three,
Then sleep as peaceful as can be.
If you wake and come back soon,
Dust again beneath the moon.
Say your bedtime du'a with care,
Allah's mercy is everywhere.
Read Ayat al-Kursi bright,
Baqarah's ending every night.
Read the Three Quls—one, two, three,
Blow and wipe so happily.
Sleep first on your right-hand side,
With your right hand tucked with pride.
Never sleep upon your tummy,
Fresh air keeps your sleep so comfy.
Don't cover all your face at night,
Stay somewhere safe till morning light.
If the heater keeps you warm,
Keep it gentle—safe from harm.
Add some moisture to the air,
Breathe with comfort everywhere.
Good dreams? Say, "Alhamdulillah!"
Share with good friends—Masha'Allah!
Bad dreams? Keep them to yourself,
Ask Allah for help Himself.
Say, "A'udhu billahi min ash-shaytan ir-rajim," pray,
Spit left three times, then sleep till day.
Wake before the morning sun,
Thank Allah—your day has begun.
Turn the light on, check your shoes,
Check your clothes before you choose.
Wash your hands and clean your nose,
Ready now in fresh clean clothes.
After Fajr, don't sleep again,
Read morning adhkar now and then.
Rest a little after noon,
Skip 'Asr naps—they end too soon.
These Sunnahs help us every day,
To live the Prophet's blessed way.
May Allah guide our hearts so true,
And fill them all with love for You.
