MCC Winnipeg Chapter Day-Long Education Session

Alhamdulillah, the Muslim Circle of Canada Winnipeg Chapter successfully organized a day-long education session for its members. The programme included Darsul Qur’an, discussion on mutual relationships among workers of Islamic movements, effective da‘wah in the Western context, organizational responsibility and discipline, book discussion, question-and-answer sessions, and practical workshops. Around 20 participants attended the session.

The sessions were conducted by Br. Shahin Siddiquee, Dr. Sayef Ahmed, Br. Ahsanul Karim Sohag, and Br. Shamsul Hoque. The programme was presided over by Br. Abu Hamid Rakib Uddin and moderated by Br. Harunur Rashid. MCC Winnipeg Chapter thanked the respected speakers, organizers, volunteers, and participants for making the programme successful.

MCC NextGen and HCI Youth Leadership Fellowship

MCC NextGen is partnering with Human Concern International (HCI) to offer a Youth Leadership Fellowship focused on philanthropy and social impact. The opportunity was announced for youth aged 14–25 in selected cities, including Toronto East and West, Scarborough, Montreal, Ottawa, Peel, Edmonton, Calgary, and Vancouver. The fellowship includes leadership, mentorship, and humanitarian training with a commitment of 4–6 hours per month. Selected fellows may attend a Youth Conference in Turkey in 2027, and top participants may become eligible for social impact project grants. To apply: https://humanconcern.org/youth-fellowship/

MCC NextGen National Convention Speech Opportunity

MCC NextGen invited youth aged 16+ from across Canada to compete for a chance to speak at MCC National Convention 2026. Chapters were encouraged to promote participation, run a 5-minute speech contest, and select one brother and one sister for the national online round. Suggested topics included “From Me to We: Building a Purpose-Driven Community” and “Resilience Through Faith: Staying Strong When Life Gets Hard.” Convention updates: https://mccconvention.ca/

MCCA Class: Brief History of Muslims

MCCA announced SRH 401, Module 1: Brief History of Muslims, with Dr. Mahfuzur Rahman Akhanda, Professor of Islamic History and Culture, University of Rajshahi. The class was scheduled for Saturday, May 9, 2026 at 11 AM EST, 10 AM CST, and 9 AM MST through Zoom.

West Zone Subchapter Training Session

A West Zone Subchapter Training Session was proposed for Saturday, May 16, 2026 at 10:00 AM PST. The agenda included logging into the MCC of Canada website, adding manpower in the portal, creating a personal report, reviewing another member’s report, and preparing and submitting monthly reports at the subchapter level.

MCC Convention 2026 Promotion

Members were encouraged to share MCC Convention-related posts with family, friends, communities, and social media contacts. The goal is to increase awareness and participation so that the convention becomes more successful and impactful.

Community Safety Reminder

A caution was circulated reminding members not to share verification codes, not to click suspicious links, and to confirm directly with trusted MCC contacts if someone calls using MCC’s name. This is a useful reminder for digital safety across the community.

Repeated or Upcoming Notices

Some activities, such as the Tulip event and the Sacred Ideals youth training, may overlap with earlier newsletter planning. They can still remain in the bulletin or upcoming-events area if they are not yet completed at the time of publication.

MCC Winnipeg Chapter

MCC Winnipeg Chapter announced an Eid al-Adha potluck get-together for Saturday, 13 June 2026 at 1:00 PM at Crescent Drive Park, Winnipeg. The event is organized with MCC Manitoba Youth Club and MCC Weekend School. Members are encouraged to register through the poster QR code and contact the local organizers for details.

MCC Montreal Chapter invited all MCC manpower members to an Eid celebration on Saturday, 30 May 2026 after Asr at Masjid Baitul Mukarram, Montreal, QC. The programme includes Islamic lecture, food, Islamic nasheed, and community gathering.
